The event was organized by HUMANKindness, a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible non-profit started by Rockwall residents Jessica Hooten and Natalee Ridenhour to raise funds for children, women and animal causes.

“Our mission is to support various local non-profits that tug on our heartstrings which assist children, women or animals and need our help most at that time,” Hooten wrote in an email to The Rockwall News. “With our assistance, the Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County can reach their goal of opening their doors this year.”

“We are just two local Rockwall area moms who identified a need and wanted to continue our philanthropy so we created our own non-profit. We know we cannot actively support children and animals in need with the specialized skills they require – like therapy, medical care, etc. However, we can coordinate and execute fantastic events to raise money and increase visibility for the groups that do directly provide for the needs of those children and animals. Our tagline is One Person. One Moment. One Difference. If every one person will take one moment to make one difference, imagine what an impact we can make!”

“Participate in our Alma Mater Challenge between the Aggies & Longhorns,” she added. “The university fans that donate the most to the Children’s Advocacy Center will have a billboard on SH205 announcing their win over their rival! (HTTPS://
