ROYSE CITY – Honda Cars of Rockwall, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Rockwall and Katy Miller of Lake Pointe Medical Center each won two awards Tuesday night at the annual Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce “Yee Haw” awards event at Southern Junction Night Club and Steakhouse.
Several other businesses and individuals also received awards in front of about 450 attendees.
Honda Cars of Rockwall won the Chamber Partner of the Year award and the dealership’s co-owner Robin Chouteau won Board of Director of the Year.
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Rockwall won Corporate Business Partner of the Year and Best Practices in Community Involvement awards.
Katy Miller of Lake Pointe Medical Center won Young Professional of the Year and Ambassador of the Year awards.
Rockwall County Helping Hands received the Non-Profit Partner of the Year award.
In addition, Rockwall County Judge David Sweet received a Spirit of Rockwall award, and Sail With Scott owner and former Rockwall Mayor Scott Self received a Lifetime Achievement award.
Lakeside National Bank and Rockwall County Abstract and Title received Decades of Distinction awards. The Title company has been a Chamber member for 45 years and the Bank 41 years.
Award winners were determined by an interactive voting system and a committee established from a representation of Board of Directors, Ambassadors and Chamber Staff.
The awards and recipients:
Outgoing Chairman of the Board, Mike Mishler, of Mishler Builders; passed the gavel to new Chair, David Mallard, of the Law Offices of David S. Mallard.
“The annual awards and appreciation banquet provides an opportunity to recognize the achievements and attributes of our Chamber partners,” said Dana K. Macalik, Chamber President. “Rockwall has an accelerating momentum of economic growth and give. We celebrate the Chamber’s past success and look forward to things to come in 2016.”
