ROCKWALL – Family violence is the leading cause of injury to women and children in America, according to the CDC.
To raise funds to provide free help to the dozens of Rockwall area residents affected by domestic violence, Women In Need (WIN) women’s shelter is hosting its second annual “Shine a Light on Domestic Violence” Glow Run this Saturday at the Harry Myers Park Spray Park Pavilion.
Pre-event registration runs from 6-6:45 pm or, through Friday, you can pre-register at the Rockwall Running Center, 539 E. I 30 Frontage Road, Rockwall, TX 75087.

“This year Women In Need’s 5k Glow Run will be focused on bringing domestic violence out of the dark and bringing awareness to the community about the services available to victims and families dealing with domestic, dating, and intimate partner violence,” said Bahm.
“So let’s plan to illuminate the issue of domestic violence and be a part of this exciting and trans-formative work!”
