Local police, fire salute Dallas police officer John Robinson of Fate who died from brain cancer

FATE – Police officers and fire department members from Fate and Royse City showed their support this morning for Dallas Police Senior Corporal and detective John Cullen Robinson, 31, of Fate, who passed away June 1 from brain cancer.

A short motorcade passed through Fate on the way to Lake Pointe Church were memorial services were held today at 10 am with Chief Bryan Clements officiating.

According to his Rest Haven Funeral Homes obituary, he is survived by his wife, Katherine; daughter Mikayla; mother, Debra Robinson of Houston; sister Kelly Stickney of Sachse; and maternal grandparents James and Elizabeth Peddy of Houston. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Robinson.

Sr. Cpl. Robinson survived a five and a half hour operation to remove the tumor last June. Surgeons thought they were able to remove it entirely.
